From God to Neurons
For me, what all this has really illustrated is how too much attention - and power - has been given to "Republicans" and "Democrats." Americans just want to get stuff done, and it shouldn't make a difference what party (if any!) the person/people who do that belong to! Throw them ALL out!P.S. It irks me that this MA seat has been called "Ted Kennedy's seat." Aside from the ridiculous fact that he was able - by law and by vote - to keep it for 40+ years, the seat belongs to the PEOPLE of Massachusetts - not the person sitting in it.
Hi, EB. Bingo! The seat doesn't belong to anybody. Back in the old days, there was a "Rockefeller wing" to the Republican party. If that were the case today, we would see bipartisanship and things getting done. As it is, a party of nihilists is holding this country hostage while the Democrats roll over and play dead. Time to abolish the Senate in my opinion. My state CA has 69 times the population of Wyoming. Both states get two senators. That combined with the filibuster means nothing gets done. Thanks for letting me vent. :)
