Zen Moments

On the spur of the moment, I drove 40 miles to Balboa Park in downtown San Diego, where I stumbled into a Japanese flower arranging show. The style is called Ikebana, in which the actual bloom may play a supporting role to stems and stalks and branches and leaves. Suddenly, I was in another world. I shot these on my iPhone.  Enjoy ...

Hey, Lori. You're gonna love this irony. I got this comment on my iPhone, and my clumsy finger missed the "Publish" command and hit "Reject." So, back home on a real computer. I can't "Unreject," but I can load your comment as part of my comment - your comment in praise of the iPhone. :)

From Lori -

Do we love our iPhone's or what? and do I LOVE that you took off and flew the coop for a moment...what a wonderful thing! We could all learn to just enjoy the moment(s).

And my reply -

Hey, Lori. Right on target. This Ikebana exhibit was all about being in the moment for me. This alone was worth driving 40 miles both ways. I'm looking forward to finding out more about this.
