t the afflicted and to afflict the comforted. He was a role model, working into his late eighties, going-going-going. And he remains a legend, long to be remembered.
Mr. Wallace was a "Pro" in every sense of the word. His objective was always the truth. He never settled for a "token" interview; the bottom line had to be as true as the opening sentence.
ReplyDeleteI especially enjoyed his interview of Gordon B. Hinckley, then President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The interview gave way to a mutually enjoyable experience for both men, and I believe it was one of Wallace's best works.
We need a new Mike Wallace.
